This seminar tends to introduce the main theoretical and methodological perspectives in Conceptual history. First, it introduces the differences between history of ideas and conceptual history. Second, it analyses the grounds and trends in Cambridge School, Begriffsgeschichte, and French intellectual history of the political. In third place, the seminar focus on the development of conceptual history in the Spanish world; in particular, the lexicographic transformations during the age of revolutions (1750-1850) studied by the Iberconceptos project.
