Jose Maria Rosales

Associate Professor of Moral and Political Philosophy at the University of Málaga, Spain, where he teaches courses on democratic theory, ethics and human rights. In 2001 he edited with Fred Dallmayr Beyond Nationalism? Sovereignty and Citizenship (Lanham-New York: Lexington Books); in 2008, with Kari Palonen and Tuija Pulkkinen, the Research Companion to the Politics of Democratization in Europe: Concepts and Histories (Farnham: Ashgate, 2008); in 2012, with Manuel Toscano, ‘Rhetoric, Ethics and Democracy’, a special issue of the Journal Res Publica. He is currently responsible for the international project The Civic Constellation: A Conceptual and Argumentative Study of the Democratic Experience (Spanish R+D Plan, 2012 to 2014).
